This paper concerns the Mar Thoma, or St. Thomas Christians; an ancient
Christian sect in India. There is an
ancient belief that St. Thomas the Apostle (Doubting Thomas) arrived in
Malenkara, Kerala, India in 52 C.E. and founded 7 churches in 7 villages.
